Jimmy Page To Give Commencement Speech At Berklee Music

Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page has been selected to give this year's commencement speech at Berklee College of Music in Boston, according to media reports.

This follows the announcement in March when Berklee announced that Page would be one of this year's recipients of an honorary doctorate during commencement ceremony on May 10th at the Agganis Arena.

On Wednesday, various media outlets reported that Page has been selected to give the commencement speech. The school's media relation's office tweeted a link to a Boston Globe report that stated that Page would be giving the speech on May 9th. Pollstar reports that he will be giving the speech during the actual graduation ceremony the following day.

According to the school's website, the May 9th event will be the commencement concert, where the students will be paying tribute to the honorary degree recipients, which will also include Geri Allen, Valerie Simpson, and Thara Memory.
