The opening shot gives us Love in a dress that looks like it's ripped from the "Miss World" era - cunning, given this video's arrival just in time for a myriad of pieces marking the 20 year anniversary of the release of Live Through This. But there's a little something extra: glitter. So, so, so, so, so much glitter. The intentionally pale-skinned Love blows it at the camera and then rolls around on the floor in a group of disco balls, creating an effective middle finger up to all the glitter-enthusiast pop divas rolling around on stages everywhere. You know their names. The pale makeup and shoes are a Romantic era nod to fashion and beauty, a bit of play with Love's interest in Marie Antoinette - something she thematically played with previously in imaging around Nobody's Daughter. The decadent setting is anything but punk, but Love's delivery, thrown one single rose petal at a time, is like a gob to the face. Watch here.
