(Radio.com) In preparation for the album's June 17 street date, Linkin Park have released an extended trailer with footage shot during the album's recording sessions. Despite their decision to buck the pop music mainstream, the band reveals they have some trepidation about making their hardest album yet.

"I was thinking, Is this too heavy? Can we be this heavy? And, can I play the drums that fast?" These are just a few of the questions drummer Rob Bourdon asked himself before laying down the recording of "Guilty All The Same," the first single from The Hunting Party.

"It is such a technical, in-your-face, aggro rock song; at the same time, I still love the story they're telling, the melodies if you strip out all the hard-edged elements, there's great songwriting," said guitarist Brad Delson of the track that also boasts a rap by Rakim.

Facing the self-imposed challenges, bassist Dave Farrell explains in the new trailer, "We're doing something that's different for us and forced us to get better on our instruments, get better as a band playing together, and that's what we want to be able to share with the world."

Despite rumors of the band diving further into EDM, as was the case with "A Light That Never Comes," their Steve Aoki collaboration, Shinoda and crew will eschew the mainstream in favor of returning to their much edgier roots.
