Carrie Underwood To Debut New Song On 'Salute the Troops' TV Special
. Titled "Keep Us Safe," Underwood created the song specifically for ACM Presents: An All-Star Salute to the Troops, a two-hour special airing on CBS starting at 9pm ET/PT. "When we were approached to be a part of the show, I was so excited to do something to honor our troops and because ACM Lifting Lives does such great work," Underwood said in a press release. "I wanted to take the time to really think about what song I wanted to perform. I had a writing session scheduled with my co-writers and friends Hillary Lindsey, Luke Laird, and Shane McAnally, and I guess the show was weighing on my mind. I think we all left the session knowing the song was special because it basically wrote itself that day!" "Keep Us Safe" will then also be available digitally, with proceeds benefiting ACM Lifting Lives, the Academy of Country Music's charitable arm. more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
