Black Keys Star Embarrassed For Jack White and Slams TMZ

. (Radio.com) The Black Keys and Jack White are still not fans of each other, but at least they admit they have a common enemy in a certain gossip news site. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Black Keys bandmates Patrick Carney and Dan Auerbach addressed the former White Stripe, who had expressed his distaste - albeit privately - for the group, going so far as to request that his ex-wife Karen Elson take their kids out of the same class as Auerbach's.

"I actually feel embarassed for him," Carney said of White. "I don't hold grudges, man. I really don't. We've all said f-ed-up sh*t in private, and divorce is hard."

He went on to rail against TMZ, who he believes should be "ashamed of themselves" for "dragging poor souls" into the private lives of people - something about which he believes White has similar feelings.

"Everybody should be scrutinized? I don't believe that," he averred. "I think that if you come off with a strong platform or moral agenda, then, yeah, maybe you should be scrutinized if there's a conflict there.  Like, if you're a TV evangelist who's doing something awful."

He added: "Those e-mails that Jack White wrote that got leaked, as f-ed up as that sh*t is, that was a private conversation, and it doesn't register to me. You know how horrifying it would be if all of our private sh*t was aired? And people go sniffing around looking for this sh*t. And ultimately it's no one's business." more on this story
