Taylor Swift Cancels Thailand Concert Following Military Coup

(Radio.com) A sold-out Taylor Swift concert in Thailand has been canceled following a military coup last week in the country. According to CBS News, Swift and her camp canceled the concert, which would have occurred June 9 in the country's capital of Bangkok.

Promoter BEC-Tero announcing on its website on Tuesday that the show was nixed due to "recent events in Thailand." Thailand underwent a coup d'etat last Thursday, with the military seizing power after months of unrest.

The promoter added that the option to cancel was a "difficult decision for all parties." Swift tweeted that she was "sending all my love to the fans in Thailand," and that she was "so sad about the concert being canceled." more on this story
