Jack White Covers Dead Weather Bandmate
. White has released a 7-inch for "Would You Fight for My Love?," the latest single from his new solo album, Lazaretto, and the B-side is "Parallel" from Hello=Fire, a Dean Fertita solo project from 2009. Fertita's version was an electric guitar-driven track, where White's take has more of a bluegrass/country feel. Fertita came into White's orbit via Brendan Benson of the Raconteurs; he'd played on Benson's 2005 track "Cold Hands (Warm Heart)" and later joined the Raconteurs as a touring keyboardist.
