(Radio.com) After CeeLo Green pled no contest to charges stemming from a 2012 incident in which he was accused of giving a 33-year-old woman ecstasy without her consent, the singer took to his Twitter to give his definition of rape. He later deleted the account.

According to Billboard, Green wrote on Twitter (though later deleted the tweets) that "People who have really been raped REMEMBER!!!" He later added, "If someone is passed out they're not even WITH you consciously! so WITH Implies consent," alluding to his own case. Green's accuser said she woke up next to Green in bed, but was unsure of how she got there.

Green's lawyers argued that the two had "consensual relations" and since there was a lack of evidence he was not charged with rape. He was however sentenced to three years probation and 45 days of community service.

After deleting the tweets, Green wrote, "I will not allow that negative energy to loiter on my time line u still got it so keep it! I'm deleting this too."

Later, Green once again took to Twitter, this time to apologize. Read that here.
