(hennemusic) A new concert film, "Eric Clapton: Live At The Royal Albert Hall", will debut in cinemas worldwide on September 14. Subtitled "Slowhand At 70", the project captures the guitar icon during his 7-show run at the famed London venue in May in honor of his 70th birthday in March.

The series of shows also marked Clapton's 50 years in the music business and more than 200 performances at The Royal Albert Hall. Viewers will hear classic tracks and fan favourites from the Mississippi blues of Robert Johnson that originally inspired him, through Cream, Derek & the Dominos and the many highlights of Clapton's long solo career.

The cinema event will also include a special featurette filmed exclusively for theater audiences. Presented by Paul Gambaccini, it features interviews with Clapton associates Paul Carrack, Andy Fairweather Lowe and Chris Stainton, as well as journalists Hugh Fielder and Paul Sexton.
