Led Zeppelin Previously Unreleased Tracks Coming: Led Zeppelin News
.
On Wednesday Led Zeppelin Previously Unreleased Tracks Coming was a top story. Here is the recap: Led Zeppelin will be revealing eight previously unheard tracks on September 19th when they release a reissue of their 1997 BBC Sessions collection in various formats. The new version, entitled "The Complete BBC Sessions", will be offered digitally, on triple-CD, 5-LP vinyl set, and in a super deluxe box set and will feature the live recordings that BBC radio made of the legendary band from 1969 through 1971. One of the highlights of this new collection will be three songs from an April of 1969 session that many believed to be lost. The tracks include "I Can't Quit You Baby", "You Shook Me" and what is reported to be the only recorded performance of the song "Sunshine Woman". The other rarities featured in the new collection are two different previously unreleased versions of the classic songs "Communication Breakdown" and "What Is And What Should Never Be" that demonstrate the evolution of the band during the period the collection encompasses. Guitarist Jimmy Page, who oversaw the remastering of the collection had the following to say to Guitar World, "The 'BBC Sessions' show in graphic detail just how organic the group was. Led Zeppelin was a band that would change things around substantially each time it playedWe were becoming tighter and tighter, to the point of telepathy." Several of the formats are available for preorder - here.
