It looks like Creed fans had their wallets "wide open" last week as the band's third album Weathered landed the top spot on the Billboard 200 album charts having sold 887,000 units its first week in stores. First week sales for Creeds previous album Human Clay logged in at 316,000 back in October of 1999. Human Clay went on to sell over 10 million copies worldwide and judging by the first week sales of their new CD Weathered, they may just repeat themselves.
The band has announced plans for an arena tour in early 2002 to support Weathered. The first 18 dates have been released with more expected to follow shortly.
