Rock Masters Band - Hit The City/Diamonds double single
"Diamonds" is a rocking groove song, with a driving guitar riff. The chorus has a descending melodic series of notes that will stick in your mind long after the song is over. The track also features a stinging electric guitar solo. The chorus states, "I am living in a diamond," whatever that means. Maybe something is lost in the translation.
"Hit the City" has a slightly lighter touch, with electronic piano matched to electric guitar, which gives it a slightly soulful feel, in addition to its other hard rock elements.
This rock & roll is a throwback, of sorts, to hard rock of the 70s. It retains a bit of an innocence and freshness that has seemingly been lost in the American rock realm. Chances are, if you're disillusioned by contemporary hard rock, you'll did this one.
