Staring At the Sun - Break The Silence

.
Staring At The Sun's Break The Silence begins with a propulsive song titled "Trust No One." With a powerful groove and layered vocal, the track sounds a little like Bad Religion at its poppiest.

Produced by Matt Hyde, who's worked with Slipknot and Fightstar, and Paul Blue, who's collaborated with Fighting Wolves, this is a widely varying four-song EP. "YMEE," for instance, begins with musical elements that sound more like Eastern European folk music, than anything contemporary, let alone punk. "Secrets" returns the act to more familiar sonic ground. This one has a thumping bass line in places that will win it fans with the classic rock crowd. The project ends with "Anaesthesia," which begins with an a capella vocal section before moving into a more standard rock groove.

Each of these songs is tightly produced and performed. If you don't notice the professionalism in this music, perhaps you've been staring at the sun a little too long yourself.
