Then take your desires to the KCK Taco Trail in Kansas City, Kansas (KCK to locals) where a taco wonderland awaits. More than 50 places serve up the treats at Mexican food restaurants, taquerias, tortillerias, meat markets and other places. And with many of these places being immigrant-owned you can rest assured that the taste is authentic.

Of course you can find good old shredded beef tacos, fish, chicken and other common varieties along the KCK Taco Trail. But there is a tremendous variety to be found, including al pastor tacos (marinated pork) done Lebanese style at El Camino Real, chorizo (pork sausage with spices) at Mi Casa Bonita Authentic Mexican Bar & Grill and in a nod to Kansas City's famous barbecue, tacos made with beef burnt ends (the fattier bits of beef brisket) at Slap's BBQ. Want to try something a bit more adventurous? Los Altos de Jalisco #2 has buche tacos made from pig stomach, lengua tacos made from beef tongue are on the menu at Tacos on Wheels and nopal tacos, made from prickly pear cactus, are a treat to be had at El Torito Supermarket. Loganiza, jamon, suadero and tripa (tripe) tacos are just a few of the other varieties waiting to be devoured along the KCK Taco Trail.
