Steven Tyler On Ellen
(hennemusic) American Idol returns for Season 11 on Wednesday, which means judges Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson are busy appearing on all kinds of programs to promote the premiere.

Today (Tuesday Jan 17th) Tyler will be a guest on the Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk about Idol and, possibly, a few other things – including his recent engagement to Erin Brady, as well as an update on the new Aerosmith album due later this spring.

"I love Aerosmith!" raves Ellen in a promo for the episode. "My momma used to sing me to sleep every night, she would sing 'Livin' on the Edge' and I would just conk right out." more on this story

Seether Guitar Center Sessions Clips Online
(Banana 101.5) Last week we brought you a video of 'Remedy' from the Seether episode of 'Guitar Center Sessions,' now there have been a couple of other tracks released from the performance.

Dale Stewart swaps his bass for an acoustic guitar during the band's performance of 'Broken,' as they are still performing as a three piece after the departure of former guitarist Troy McLawhorn. Shaun Morgan told Loudwire recently that they plan to keep it that way:

"We've embraced the three piece and we will continue to be one. We've tried to have another guitarist and then you become friends with guys and you really become family because you're on the road all the time, you see a lot of things together, you experience a lot of things together. It's like being in a marriage pretty much. Even the best marriages end at some point, unless it's those freak accidents like where my grandparents are married for 50 years."

See their performance of 'Broken' and 'Rise Above This' here.

James Durbin Rocks Crawling Home Unplugged
(hennemusic) James Durbin was busy rocking Portland Friday night. Durbin was featured as part of radio station Live 95.5 KBFF's Bing Lounge live experience.

It was a very interactive experience for Portland music fans, as James took questions from station DJs and listeners, while also performing several tracks from his debut, "Memories Of A Beautiful Disaster," in an acoustic setting.

Included in the set was "Crawling Home." "It's a song I wrote with DJ Ashba," said James as he introduced the tune. "It didn't make the album; it was a bonus track for pre-ording the album. Hopefully we can include it on something in the future. It's a song about being on the road - being gone from your family, being gone from the ones you love and the things you love." Check it out here.

Korn's Fieldy Now Has Permanent Bleeding Heart
(TMZ) Korn bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu has turned his back on his own heart -- getting a bleeding ticker tattooed between his shoulder blades last week ... and TMZ has obtained the inky pictures.

Fieldy hit up Goodfellas tat shop in OC on Friday with his rapper pal Ditch -- and famed shop owner Steve Soto personally inked up the rock star's spine ... inscribing a melting candle "sacred heart" design.

It's unclear how much the bassist paid for the privilege, but we're told Steve typically charges around $1,200 for similar tattoos.

Life is peachy. Check out photos of the tat

John Lennon A Cat Lover
(Gibson) John Lennon, a cat lover? It seems so. According to Mental Floss, the late Beatles musician had a strong fondness for cats and owned several during his lifetime, beginning during his childhood.

Little Lennon's first pet was named Elvis, and the cat was actually owned by his mom, Julia. Both Lennon and his mom adored Elvis Presley, which is where they got the cat's name. As the story goes, the Lennons were a bit shocked with Elvis – who they thought was a male cat – gave birth to a littler of cats in the cupboard.

When Lennon – who also had a liking for dogs – married his first wife, Cynthia, he gave her a dog named Bernard as a gift. Bernard and Sally were supposed to be John's only two pet dogs. Slowly, the couple began acquiring cat after cat until, eventually, they owned roughly 10 cats! He also owned two cats with his second wife, Yoko Ono. more on this story
