Billboard reports: In the same week that Chris Brown went to YouTube to apologize for assaulting Rihanna, a viral videoclip of a wedding party dancing down the aisle to Brown's song "Forever" returns him to the charts.
In the week ending July 26, it sold 50,000 downloads according to Nielsen SoundScan. That's up a whopping 1,721% in sales compared to the previous week and the song thusly re-enters the Hot Digital Songs chart at No. 21.
It's the first time the uptempo single has appeared on the list since the tally dated Jan. 31. It's also the best sales week for any of Brown's songs since Christmas week of 2008

PR reports: Following up 2008's "Daylight Kissing Night", a best-of collection of songs culled from Adam Marsland's previous solo releases and his band Cockeyed Ghost's four full-lengths, Marsland is ready to unleash a double album, "Go West", his first new studio record since 2004's "You Don't Know Me".
"When my last studio album came out in 2004, it was a low point. Nobody really wanted to hear it and I was burnt out from too much touring," he says, discussing his enthusiasm for 'Go West'. "Now things are totally different."
"Albums to me are like children, and you're responsible for them," he continues, "some grow up to be mechanics and you don't have to worry about them. Others are special, and you have to send them to medical school. 'Go West' is one of those."

PR reports: Renowned instrumentalist/composer Dave Koz and jazz multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire Brian Culbertson will hit the road together this summer, collaborating on one another's biggest hits as well as on songs from their latest albums. Dave Koz – Greatest Hits and Culbertson's Bringing Back The Funk each debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Contemporary Jazz Albums chart upon release last year.
Along the way, the pair will give a special performance – "Dave Koz & Brian Culbertson Side By Side with Special Guest Peabo Bryson" – at the legendary Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on August 23rd.
"Summer is always the best time to take this music on the road—and I think this summer in particular, it'll be a great opportunity for Brian and I to put some positive energy out there, have some fun and, hopefully in the process, give folks a break," said Koz, a six-time GRAMMY® nominee. "Brian is incredible on every level. It's been seven years since we toured together— and I know this is gonna be a blast!"

PR reports: Audible Mainframe is a six-piece, live hip-hop band making a huge impact on the west coast with their creative blend of old and new hip-hop and socially conscious message. Performing with well-known artists such as Damian Marley, Blackalicious and Arrested Development, the band's powerful lyrics coupled with their high-energy shows is what sets them apart from the rest. Their long-awaited, full-length album "Transients," is set to release on August, 25, 2009 and promises to be the most comprehensive AMF album yet.
In celebration of the new release, the band will host two CD release parties; Saturday August 21 at Harpers Ferry in Boston, MA and Thursday August 27 at The Viper Room in West Hollywood. Additional tour dates following the release parties will be announced soon.
"Transients," a 13-song, self-produced album, reflects the journey the band has been on for the last six years. It offers an eclectic mix of hip-hop, soul, and dance grooves; telling stories about the bands childhood memories, triumphs together, and staying positive through rough times. The album features a new lineup of instrumentation and presents an uplifting twist in today's hip-hop world by incorporating a combination of acoustic & electronic beats and real musician flare. In comparison to their last album, "Transients" is a more mature AMF - lyrically, musically and spiritually.

ABC reports: 2G'Z (God'z Gift): The "Rat Pack" of hip hop is more than a group, it's a brotherhood, a family and support system. A crew formed long ago by Black (Manager), Pup a.k.a. Sean, M-Hat, Young Fligg, and others who called themselves "God'z Gift To Women." Unknown to them at the time, the crew would later become an innovative rap duo.
The duo's debut EP, EVERYONE'S FAVORITE ALBUM, was released June 30 exclusively on iTunes on TRW Records, which is owned by former NFL star and USC wide receiver Mike Williams.
Others in the hip hop community have recognized the talent of rap duo 2G'z: M-Hat (a.k.a. Mario Chelsea) and Young Fligg (a.k.a. Ian Chidlaw). Ace Hood and DJ Khaled, President and recording artist of Def Jam South, performed with 2G'z during their tour earlier this year. Sirius XM radio host DJ Skee also collaborated with 2G'z on the creation of the underground beats featured on his album THE MIXTAPE.
