Rick Ross Doesn't Blame Gang Threats For Tour Cancellation
Rick Ross is blaming the cancellation of his tour on the promoter and not on the gang threats that were received.

Billboard carried a statement from Ross where he explains, "I canceled the rest of the tour due to the promoter was really not handling his business. He canceled a date of mine. I was going to Tuscon, Arizona and I was really a few hours outside of the market when I heard. I believe it was Tuscon, this was a week and a half ago," he said.

"And I let the dude know how we move and just to communicate a little better. So I woke up and realized that two more dates had been canceled. I felt like that was some power I needed to take away from homie, so I canceled the rest of the dates." There was also big news about his record label.

Frank Ocean Radiohead Cover Met With Indifference
Among the many attractions at last week's splashy Spotify press conference with Lars Ulrich of Metallica and Glassnote Records CEO Daniel Glass (who announced a new Phoenix album for 2013), alternative R&B star Frank Ocean performed a short set during which he offered a brief cover version of Radiohead's 1995 single, "Fake Plastic Trees."

The understated performance was the culmination of the extremely exclusive event, with a majority of the music industry-heavy audience seemingly oblivious to Ocean's nod towards Thom Yorke's famous band, given the audible din of conversations in the background.

The cover continued in Ocean's tradition of performing abbreviated cover versions in concert. more on this story
