He was wrong ... allegedly. As TMZ first reported, cops believe Connor was HAMMERED ... because she could barely walk, couldn't count and reeked of booze. George was never accused of any wrongdoing. Still, George reiterates, "Rachel Connor was simply trying to be nice by offering me a ride." Here's Eddie's entire statement: "As part of a two-day charity golf event, a group of us who had played together on Tuesday celebrated at dinner. The group included Rachel Connor." "After dinner, as everyone left the restaurant together, we realized that Rachel lived the closest to where I was staying. So she offered to drop me off. I believed her to be competent to drive and not impaired at all. We were stopped shortly after we left." "At first, I hesitated to respond to this story. But I now see that people are willing to think the worst. So my wife, Tamara , and I believe we have to address this." "Rachel Connor was simply trying to be nice by offering me a ride. No one in our group felt she was impaired or we all would have stopped her from driving." more on this story

I can rarely watch the news, because usually it goes something like this.. A man goes ape and kills a bunch of people. Fires are spreading all over California. The economy is hurting everyone and you're next. A man rapes and kills a teenage girl. I mean, jeesh.. the news is almost always bad. There are a lot of things to be afraid about in today's society. But if I sit around and worry about all of the scary stuff out there.. it doesn't do me any good. Really, I borrowed the sentiment for this song from the most famous book in history. So I figure I can't go wrong.. Whether or not you subscribe to the worldview of the Bible, I think the following is interesting. Did you know the Bible says "Don't be Afraid" (or some form of "don't be afraid") 365 times? That's once for every day of the year. One of the lyrics in the song says "Perfect love casts out all the fear, pulls you closer, I hope that you can hear". I copped that from a verse in 1 John that says "There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear." The Bible is old enough that you can totally plagiarize it without getting busted. Sweet huh? The idea behind the song is, we shouldn't be afraid, because God knows our name, he knows what we're going through, and he loves us. So really, we can get through anything. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album right here!
