Zayn Malik Reveals Details For His New Solo Album

(Radio.com) Zayn Malik opened up about his debut solo album, Mind of Mine, as well as his creative struggle with One Direction in a new interview that was published on Thursday (Jan. 28).

Mind of Mine's first single "Pillow Talk" will debut today January 29th. Malik already has a music video filmed for the track, which he will release later.

Appearing on Beats 1 Radio, Malik talked about the project and his creative control over it. "In terms of collaborating, for creative direction, I'm not collaborating with anybody," he said. "It's all my creative direction. That's something that's massively liberating, shall we say. It feels great to just do whatever and kind of take the responsibility on myself, and be like, 'Yeah, I did that, so if you don't like it then it's cool.' Because I like it so I don't give a [bleep]."

He also shared hints about some of the other songs on the album. Describing one called "She," Malik explained, "It's a bit more of a party tune, and it's a bit moreit's not as intense lyrically, it's more about a good time."

Malik hopes that the fun he had writing and recording the song comes across to listeners. "Hopefully people can hear that in the music, because that's what I'm trying to portray: what I'm going through. And if it sounds like I'm having a good time, it probably meant I was having a good time."

Elsewhere in the interview, Malik detailed how quickly things escalated after the group appeared on X Factor U.K. Read about that here.

Kanye West Doesn't Want To Talk About Wiz Khalifa Beef

(Radio.com) Has the beef between Kanye West and Wiz Khalifa really been put to bed? TMZ's cameras caught up with West at the airport in Los Angeles and pestered him about his Twitter rant.

"Do you think it was a bit much bringing the kid into it?" the cameraman asks. "I told you I said all I had to say, don't ask me no more questions about it," Kanye retorts hotly. However, Ye recovers his composure by the end of the clip "I didn't mean to talk to you heavy," he says. "Show of respect to you and your family."

Wiz didn't do much to further the feud himself, though he did yell "F- Kanye West" at his gig last night in Argentina. You can check out both videos here.

Martin Shkreli Demands Apology From Ghostface Killah

(Radio.com) Martin Shkreli continues acting like public enemy number one. On Thursday (Jan. 28), he shared that he wants Ghostface Killah to apologize for insulting him recently, or else he'll go ahead with his plans to destroy the Wu-Tang Clan album, Once Upon a Time in Shaolin.

Shkreli appears in a new video surrounded by three masked men (via TMZ). Using Ghostface Killah's real name, Dennis Coles, Shkreli launches into a lengthy rant. 'Most people don't ever try to beef with me, know why?" he arrogantly asks the camera. 'Because nobody's that dumb."

He continues, "For whatever reason you think it's okay to beef with me, but that's a big mistake. At the end of the day, I feel very sorry for you. You're an old man who has lost relevance and you're trying to reclaim the spotlight from my spotlight. And that's not going to work, Dennis."

"In fact, if you ever say some dumb sh-t again, this Shaolin album, I'm going to erase all your s- on this album," he says. "I'm going to erase you from the record books of rap. You're my son, you have to listen to me. I butter your bread, you understand me. Without me, you're nothing. I expect you to write me a written apology from the heart. Some contrition, some long letter where you explain you're sadness and sorrow for what you've done."

Channing Tatum Convinced Beyonce To Join Him On 'Lip Sync Battle'

(Radio.com) When Channing Tatum appeared on Lip Sync Battle earlier in January, he brought with him one of the biggest names in music: Beyonce. But how exactly did the Magic Mike star get Queen Bey to appear on the show with him? That answer has finally been revealed.

Appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday, Tatum admitted he'd never met Beyonce before, which naturally made it more difficult to track her down and ask for help.

"I won't even tell you what I had to do to essentially get her assistant's phone numberI was texting her. I didn't even have the intention of her coming," Tatum told Ellen. "It was a whole ploy to get permission to do something."

Tatum wanted a major name, because he believed his wife, Jenna Dewan Tatum, was going to bring on a big guest star. "I was like, 'Hmm, who can I bring out?' I know Beyonce's not gonna come, so I wanted to bring like a cardboard cutout of Beyonce out just to be funny," he said. "Ultimately I ended up having to meet Beyonce doing Beyonce, and that was definitely the most terrifying thing I've ever done."

Max B's Releases 'My Wave (A Message for Kanye West)'

(Radio.com) It looks like Max B is officially a part of the Kanye West/Wiz Khalifa beef. The jailed Max B released a track directed at Kanye West due to the controversy going on between Khalifa and West/

The controversy was originally prompted when Kanye changed the title of his upcoming album from SWISH to WAVE. Khalifa feels that Kanye shouldn't use the term "wave" due in part to the phrase/style that has been widely credited to the former Dipset rapper.

The recording, "My Wave (A Message for Kanye West)," features Max B rapping over the Pharcyde's 11995 classic track, "Runnin'." The song doesn't say much to and/or about Kanye at all and doesn't seem to make a reference to him, but take a listen here.

On Wednesday night, Natalie Portman joined their ranks on The Tonight Show, donning a very-Sia wig and black onesie to play percussion in a live rendition of "Iko Iko."

The Roots and Jimmy Fallon backed Sia up on the 1964 Dixie Cups classic, in typically lively and charming form. The format is usually reserved for Fallon's "Classroom Instruments" series but the band raised its style points with a monochromatic backdrop. Read more here.
