(BBC) Neanderthals, the close relations of modern man who died out around 30,000 years ago, had their own music and dance, an academic says.
Professor Steven Mithen of Reading University also thinks the cave- dwellers would have enjoyed the rhythms and sounds made by rap artists. [see full story for more]

Got to love the silly articles included in DIR! I can't wait for the protests over these comments. I mean everyone knows that gansta rap is the modern intellectual equivalent to Shakespeare. But some people might read this the wrong way and think that it says rap fans are Neanderthals not that Neanderthals would be rap fans if they were alive.
But back to the Shakespeare comparison, see if you don't see the correlation.
