Franz Fall Tour
NME reports: FRANZ FERDINAND will return to North America for a tour beginning on September 20 in CHICAGO.

The sixteen-date trek will find the Scottish four-piece out in support of their second self-titled album, which will be released in the US on October 4.

Cold Summer
Atlantic reports: Florida-based hard rockers Cold return to spotlight with their fourth studio record A Different Kind of Pain. The introspective new album will be released on Lava Records, a division of the Warner Music Group, on August 30, 2005. 

After a two year hiatus since their Gold-selling previous album Year of the Spider, Cold triumphantly return with their most eloquent album to date. Different Kind of Pain demonstrates the band's tremendous growth as songwriters and was recorded at Bearsville Studios in upstate New York and Studio Barbbarosa in Virginia. The disc was produced by Michael " Elvis" Baskette (Chevelle, Iggy Pop, and Puddle of Mudd) and mixed by Ben Grosse.

Stephen Bruton 5th
conqueroo reports: From The Five, the new album from Stephen Bruton which ships on July 26 on New West Records, finds the artist in high gear with a new collection of original songs -- many of them co-written with friends like NRBQ guitarist turned Nashville songwriter Big Al Anderson, Memphis rocker John Kilzer, Little Feat anchor Bill Payne, Austin player and composer Stephen Barber and Randy Jacobs. 

He is joined in the studio by Payne on keyboards, drummer Steve Ferrone (Tom Petty, Average White Band) and Fort Worth pal Glen Clark (formerly of Delbert & Glen). The album’s one cover is “Ordinary Man,” which Bruton heard sung by Sam Moore and Junior Walker at the end of the movie “Tapeheads” and has since incorporated into his live show.- Click Here for the Full Story

Paul McCartney's 20th Solo CD
PFA Media reports: "Chaos And Creation In The Back Yard," Paul McCartney's 20th studio recording since The Beatles, marks an end to a nearly four-year hiatus since his last studio recording, 2001's platinum certified "Driving Rain." The new 13-track album is produced by Nigel Godrich (Radiohead, Travis and Beck) and was recorded in London and Los Angeles over the course of the past two years. Chipster reports: The long wait is over for fans of neo-classical rock guitar genius Yngwie Malmsteen. The new Yngwie Malmsteen’s Rising Force album Unleash The Fury will be released in North America on July 26, 2005, through Eagle Rock Entertainment's Spitfire Records.
