Zappa DVD
press release reports: Eagle Rock Entertainment, the leading independent source for high quality music audio/visual programming, will release Frank Zappa’s Dub Room Special on October 18, an extremely rare TV special comprising two live performances from one of Rock’s great individuals. Previously released on VHS and Beta and only available through mail order, this will be the first time the program is widely distributed and available on DVD.

Zappa’s unparalleled abilities as a composer, guitarist, and absurdist/social commentator run rampant on The Dub Room Special - and it is a unique window on his willingness to push the envelope of what is possible no matter how improbable. Selections from two separate concerts, one, called A Token of His Extreme, shot in 1974 at Los Angeles public television station KCET and one in 1981 filmed at his annual New York Halloween show, are interspersed with then-cutting edge claymation/stop motion animation from Bruce Bickford and assorted comedy bits. Underoath DVD/Tour

Agents of the Sun Delay
press release reports: The release date for Agents of the Sun’s MONARCHS OF A FALLEN SOCIETY has changed to October 25 on DCide Records. It was originally scheduled to come out October 11. “Therapy” has been chosen as the first single, which is currently being serviced to radio stations across the country.

Some early reviews of the album have started to surface. ECromper.com praised the band’s: “…catchy grooves and a driving rhythm section, especially the drums. They play a nice mix of structured, melodic post hardcore with a nice crunch factor and good vocals. 311 drummer Chad Sexton gave them a thick mix, which does the drums and bass sweet justice. While they have a lot of musical competition, AOTS have maneuvered themselves to the front of the genre…” And Blogcritics.org hailed: “The musicianship of the lads is obvious and there is talent on show here rather than just band-wagon jumping. Ray Dobson certainly has the vocal chops for this sort of rock. It is clear they have honed their craft over the years…A well put together release.” [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Paparazzi Not Cause of Lohan Crash
antiMusic reports: Police that are investigating the auto accident actress / pop singer Lindsay Lohan was involved in Tuesday, said Wednesday that contrary to some press reports, paparazzi were not the cause of the crash.

Early press reports stated that Lohan was fleeing paparazzi at the time of the crash leading to speculation that they were at fault. Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore told the Associated Press, "The paparazzi, as far as we can tell, have nothing to do in terms of the accident." Whitmore said that the crash was a result of the driver of the van making a U-turn in front of the 19-year-old actress. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story
