Beat That Bizkit Limp
The Gauntlet reports: In a recent post, Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit) discussed the followup to last years flop "The Unquestionable Truth part 1".

"TUT2 will have songs that me and Ross Robinson produced with Wes on guitar as well as songs that do not have Wes on guitar. It will be a full length album and not an EP. It will be on the more aggressive side of nature and appeal to those who feed off of the heavier side of Limp Bizkit.... As for a tour and touring. Absolutely. I am directing my first motion picture called "The Education of Charlie Banks" right now and as soon as I finish that we will hit the road. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Erasure Unplugged
Press Release reports: Erasure’s bold new acoustic album, Union Street, will be in stores on April 18th, with a US tour slated for kickoff on May 6th at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium (formerly the Grand Ole Opry) On their brand new album Union Street, Erasure have delivered their biggest surprise yet. In a boldly experimental step for an electronic band, they have unplugged themselves, bringing new soulful new depths and acoustic, maybe even a touch of country-western, textures to 11 songs spanning their entire career. The album is dominated by revamped album tracks and born-again B-sides that the band felt best suited an extreme makeover. All sound refreshingly different to their original blueprints. “It was great going back through those songs, some of which I hadn't listened to properly since we made them,” Vince Clarke recalls. "Suddenly you heard some of the naivety that was in there in the first place."[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Early November Triple
Press Release reports: Drive-Thru Record’s recording artist THE EARLY NOVEMBER will release a triple-disc titled The Mechanic, The Mother, And The Path on July 11, 2006.

This beautifully orchestrated release is the carefully thought out endeavor of EARLY NOVEMBER front man Ace Enders and band mates Jeff Kummer (drums), Sergio Anello (bass), Joe Marro (guitar), and Bill Lugg (guitar). Produced by Chris Badami (The Starting Line, Midtown), the albums were recorded in the band’s home state of New Jersey. The Mechanic disc highlights the group’s heavier rock sound while The Mother leans towards the acoustic, mellower side. The Path is a soundtrack complete with dialogue and characters both of which intermingle amongst the first two CDs, thus tying the three discs together. The story arc involves a young man who clashes with his over bearing father. The teenage character leaves his family with the girl he loves, setting out to forge a new path, one that avoids the trappings that ensnared his conventional parents. Upon having his own child, he swears he won’t make the same mistakes his father did. The cycle of life brings him full circle as his own son begins to rebel against him, and he finds himself slowly becoming like his father, a fate he tried so hard to escape. k.d. lang Reintarnation
Special Ops reports: k.d. lang’s new album – Reintarnation, in stores April 25th.

Spanning 1984-1993, Reintarnation gathers 20 alt-country classics from k.d. lang's early years. Compiled by lang and her longtime collaborator Ben Mink, it features "Pay Dirt," "Big Boned Gal," and the previously unreleased "Changed My Mind." Reintarnation—named after a neologism defined by The Washington Post as “coming back to life as a hillbilly”— focuses on the first decade of her recording career, when she broke ground as a singular kind of country singer who channeled the genre’s canon while subverting a number of its conventions. The early lang catalogue was dubbed “cowpunk” and arguably paved the way for artists who in more recent years have appropriated country music, garnering a mix of support and the suspicion of Nashville’s Music Row, and reaching a much broader audience.
