Axl said in a statement released by GNR management, "We have had an amazing tour and it has been fantastic for the band and I to experience this. City Vs Slayer
Blabbermouth reports: The city of Fullerton, California has demanded that the SLAYER artwork be removed immediately from the 17 SLAYER bus benches scattered throughout the city. The bus benches, which "went up" over this past weekend, are promoting SLAYER's new album, "Christ Illusion". This past Monday (July 31), the city officials called the company that the band's record label (American) hired to put the ads in place, demanding that they remove the SLAYER ad/artwork, reportedly because they did not like the name of the band, which they feel refers to a murderer. They are also apparently offended by the antichrist and skull logo on the bench artwork.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Clay Aiken Wants to Know What Love Is
Faded Youth reports: [Faded Youth has posted an update about their favorite whipping boy; here is part of their report] Clay Aiken is hearkening back to his 'American Idol' roots, rehashing a bunch of tired old, karaoke "love" songs on his new CD titled: 'A Thousand Different Ways' (oh the jokes write themselves here) due out September 19.

The first is a take on, of all things, Foreigner's 'I Want To Know What Love Is', sung as a duet with female reality star Suzie McNeil from TV's Rockstar:Supernova (due out with her own CD winter of '06) - Because one reality star is never enough!

Then there is the old, schmaltzy 'Without You' originally by Air Supply that Mariah and so many others breathed new life into. I'm told that he also does a cover of 'When I see you Smile' by 80s rock band Bad English. Fans are noticing all the songs are "gender neutral" and some are wondering if this CD will receive little if any airplay at all based on these songs. What's perhaps more interesting is with a little over a month out from the CD release is that NO RCA promotion has been done (not even an official press release yet). [see the full story for more including links to mp3s of some of these songs]- Click Here for the Full Story
