Britney Worst
hecklerspray reports: We'll come clean here - we don't know who Mr Blackwell is. He's a fashion critic, we're told. And he's got the most irritating writing style we've ever seen. And he doesn't like Britney Spears very much.

For 46 years, Mr Blackwell has been handing out annual worst-dressed awards to celebrities who can't wear clothes properly, or something. And the winner of Mr Blackwell's worst-dressed award this year is none other than saggy pop princess Britney Spears. Even though Britney was a bit pregnant for a lot of 2005, it hasn't stopped Mr Blackwell from digging his claws into her sartorial style.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Bayside Acoustic
Victory reports: a CD/DVD called Bayside Acoustic, will hits stores on February 28th. Bayside have always performed as an electric four-piece in the past, but the tragic death of their drummer, John Holohan, in October of 2005 resulted in front man Anthony Raneri and guitarist Jack O'Shea finishing the tour as an acoustic two-piece. The response to their set was incredible, with fans watching each song in reverent silence, only to erupt at the close of each. The set was praised in NY Newsday and the New York Times, but it was the intensity of their fans' reactions that made releasing their songs in this format inevitable.

The CD will contain a new song, "Winter", acoustic studio versions of "Blame It On Bad Luck", "They Looked Like Strong Hands", "Masterpiece", "Montauk", and "Devotion and Desire". [see full story for more including new tour dates]- Click Here for the Full Story

Simple Fur Plan
Peta reports: On the brink of a 22-stop European tour, Montréal-based punk band Simple Plan is more in demand now than ever before following the release of their latest album, SP Hard Rock Live, in October. But that didn’t stop the members of the band from hooking up with their pals at peta2—PETA’s youth division—when they recently played in PETA’s hometown of Norfolk, Va., where they recorded several no-holds-barred anti-fur voicemail recordings, downloadable at peta2.com.

“Hey, what’s up?” begins one of the tamer versions. “This is Simple Plan. Seriously, it’s really us, and the person you’re calling and us, Simple Plan, agree on one thing—that fur is for animals and not for clothing, so don’t buy fur!”

Visitors to peta2.com can not only download one of the greetings, they can also register to win a digital camera—complete with exclusive photos of the band members that were taken backstage before their Norfolk performance.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story
