SLASH is grossly over-rated. I could think of at least two dozen extreme metal guitarists who could blow his playing while soloing. No mention of DREAM THEATER's John Petrucci's work on the list... MEGADETH's solos are far better than METALLICA's... It's almost a relief that Kurt Cobain didn't figure on that list (coz he simply blew)... Surprising how Ritchie Blackmore didn't find a place on this list... Nor did Dimebag Darrell... Oh well, at least a dozen such lists come out every year, leading to endless debate. Still, it is disconcerting to note that Slash is put on such a high pedestal when much better guitarists are around.

Personally, I would have David Gilmour (Pink Floyd) second with "Comfortably Numb".
