(Contact Music) AMERICAN IDOL star CLAY AIKEN is being urged to come clean about his sexuality by a former US Green Beret, who claims to have had a passionate tryst with the singer.
JOHN PAULUS, 38, took a lie detector test in a bid to prove claims he has made about Aiken's sexuality in an American tabloid are true.

Consider the source here: THE NATIONAL ENQUIRER! This dude has appointed himself judge and jury to "OUT" Clay and it is Clay's business and HIS alone. Clay has specifically said he is NOT gay on PRIMETIME LIVE . This should be the end of it . It is just appauling how this Green Baret lowers himself to not caring how he is hurting someone . He says at one point ,quote:They couldn't pay me enough to have my pics on the supermarket stand," he told the Daily News. He also says they had 'unprotected sex'. WHY IS MR. PALUS himself not responsible ??? It might also be stated that lie-detectors are not admissible in a court of law and its outcomes can be manipulated , so that proves nothing !! Try looking at the good a person has done (something this guy probably knows nothing about !). Look at their heart (something Mr. Palus does not have ). Clay Aiken is a remarkable MAN (which is more than Mr. Palus), with good morals and values and throughout his Perry does indeed rhyme with fairy and for an obvious reason so far , his character bares witness to this !!! As for the death threats from fans (which is no doubt made up as well), that is too quick , how about hanging you up by your testicles with tweezers !!!! Mr. Palus , if your job in real estate fails , (which would serve you right) maybe you could get a job selling step ladders , because you will need one to reach the curb!!!

I don't believe this scum, Clay is the kind of guy that would say he was gay without apology or hesitation if it were true. His life would be a lot easier for the last 3 years if he was gay. The fact that he puts up with this crap proves to me that he must be straight. Why go through it if you don't have to. His fans wouldn't care one way or the other.

These rags have just gone too far. Clay is a sweet, generous, honorable man. This story is so completely out of character for him. He's cautious around people that are not friends or family. But this man who prides himself in being a role model will take the risk of ruining his career having unprotected sex with a stranger! Yeah right - and pigs fly! If no one ever came forward during the height of his popularity during American Idol Season 2, not one person from his past, why now? It's ludicrous! What a pile of doggy doo-doo! Mike, I think you got it right. I'm sure there are a lot of gay guys who wish Clay was gay but SORRY, CLAY IS NOT GAY! I am a Clay Aiken fan and I hope that he sues John and the Enquirer for mega bucks and POUNDS THEM until BOTH of them are so bankrupt that neither one has 2 nickles to rub together. I will remain a Clay fan no matter what anyone says or does. John acts like he is doing this as a favor to Clay because he says Clay would be a good role model for gays. Considering that Clay has spoken out publicly TWICE (Rolling Stone cover photo article and Diane Sawyer 20/20 interview-both in 2003)that he is indeed NOT gay, who are you going to believe? He was also NOT in the area on the day that the article stated, he is NOT 26 years old, how many more inaccuracies are you going to believe?? Clay's impeccable reputation speaks for itself! Why can't people grow up and their age? I cannot believe that a 38 year old man has nothing better to do than sell some cheap story to a tabloid in hopes of slamming Clay (a talented and compassionate man) in hopes of making some money. I actually feel sorry for the person who came up with this story. It's obvious that this person must have had a developmental issue because his actions are seen more commonly in a 15 year old versus a (nearing) middle-aged man. Maybe he can take his money and see someone about his problem.

It makes me a bit sick to the stomach that someone would betray Clayton's confidence to make a cheap buck, but I knew it was inevitable considering his tendency to hook-up online. I could care less about his sexuality, but there is a bit of satisfaction in seeing him stumble after some of the sanctimonious and judgemental stuff he's been spouting. Karma is a bitch...
