Blabbermouth reports: KORN guitarist James
"Munky" Shaffer has announced plans to form his own record company.
"I'm looking to put together a really eclectic
record label that's only for the artists," Munky said during a live appearance
on the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline" this past Monday (July
17). "I want to give back what I've been given, which is the opportunity
to make music and make a living. I want it to be multi-genre - hip hop,

a non-profit organization that specializes in, well, saving the children.
The Colours Are Brighter will feature big-name artists such as Snow Patrol,

Hayes from Savage Garden is gay. Oh come on, like you didn't know.
You must remember Savage Garden - somehow,
23 million of you bought their Affirmation album and billions more of your
will have suffered through appointments at hairdressers while their songs
blasted in your eardrums. Anyway - Darren Hayes, the Savage Garden singer,
has come out to his fans. And just to make it kind of official, Darren
Hayes married his boyfriend. A month ago.[see full story for more]-

for the up-coming "National Lampoon's TV the Movie" which is currently
in post-production for release sometime this year. The songs which have

Earth's song "I Am The Scum" can be heard in the movie's trailer in conjunction
with the movie's "Miami Mice" segment which can be viewed at the full story

Drum
Nation |
PR reports: Peter Morticelli, founder of Magna
Carta Records, wants the world to know that drummers are people, too. He's
made that notion the theme of the third CD release in Magna Carta's acclaimed
Drum Nation series. And so that all might witness, Drum Nation Volume 3,
a compilation of the most provocative tracks ever tabled by drummers, is
supplemented with a video component-a series of vignettes peering into
the lives of the participants.
We're talking the most cutting-edge drummers
of our time: Chris Adler (Lamb Of God), Jason Bittner (Shadows Fall), Raanen
Bozzio (Stasis), Jeremy Colson (Steve Vai, Marty Friedman), Justin Foley
(Killswitch Engage), Michael Justian(Unearth), Jordan Mancino (As I Lay
Dying), Joe Nunez (Soulfly), Chris Pennie (Dillinger Escape Plan), Derek
Roddy (Blotted Science), Kenneth Schalk (Candiria), and Tom Taitano (Totalisti).
Each has produced an audio track and a video exclusively for this exciting
release. This is stuff you won't see anywhere else.

Years Down, Now What? |
antiMusic reports: This week marks the 3rd
anniversary of the Day in Rock. Here is a favorite story from our very
first week: Aerosmith's Steven Tyler had an alleged run in with a photographer
in New York last week.
According to an eye witness report in the
New York Daily News story, last Thursday Tyler was on Prince St and a female
photographer was following him. He suddenly turned around and took the
photographer's camera. The witness said, "He's shouting at her, and grabs
her by the wrist, saying, 'Let's see how you like it. You're going to stand
there until I tell you not to.' The girl is standing there completely humiliated,
and he's taking pictures and pictures, and all the bystanders were laughing
their ass off."
