(Fanscape) College-focused channel mtvU has recently announced the "Best Music on Campus" (BMOC) contest along with Drive-Thru Records (New Found Glory, Something Corporate). mtvU is asking aspiring bands to submit their profiles on mtvU.com, including three (3) original songs, to be reviewed by mtvU and Drive-Thru Records executives. After entrants have been narrowed down to 50, mtvU will invite college students to vote for their favorites starting March 27, 2006. The top 5 finalists will again be judged by a panel comprised of mtvU and Drive-Thru Records executives, as well as music celebrities.
