Originally formed in 2001 and with one full-length and one EP already under its belt, YEAR OF DESOLATION brands its sound as "melodic thrash, with absolutely zero metalcore influence," combining elements of thrash, neo classical, European progressive metal and American death metal. The band has already written a handful of material for the upcoming album, and several rough demos are available on the band's MySpace page
