Judas Priest Eye Nostradamus Tour and DVD
FMQB reports: Ever since the two-disc "Metal Opera" Nostradamus came out in June, Judas Priest has been planning to do an elaborate stage show where they play the album in its entirety.

That idea is still something the band is "absolutely committed" to, but it likely won't happen until later in 2009.

"We talk about it constantly, and that's what we're going to do at the end of the world tour sometime next year," singer Rob Halford recently told FMQB. "At the back end of the summer, we're going to wind up the regular tour. Then we'll go straight into production for the Nostradamus show and we'll probably do a DVD to go along with that. - a lot more

Nude Girl Album Art Unblocked
Sleazeroxx reports: A Wikipedia page blacklisted this weekend in the U.K. over child pornography concerns has been unblocked, a decision that also fully restores the ability of U.K. residents to edit articles in this popular online encyclopedia.

The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF), the nonprofit group that blacklisted the Web page, announced on Tuesday that it has reversed course on the matter, although it still believes the image is potentially illegal in the U.K. The image in question is of a naked and possibly underage female on the cover of a 1976 album from German rock group The Scorpions titled "Virgin Killer."

"In light of the length of time the image has existed and its wide availability, the decision has been taken to remove this webpage from our list," the IWF said in a statement. About 95% of U.K. ISPs, by Wikimedia's estimate, block Web pages based on IWF's list. - more on this story

ChthoniC Finish New CD
Adrenaline reports: The Asian symphonic black metal band ChthoniC, who made international headlines by championing Taiwanese democracy from the Ozzfest and Wacken stages last summer, has recently finished recording their new album "Mirror Of Retribution" which is a concept album in Los Angeles with producer (and Anthrax guitarist) Rob Caggiano (Cradle of Filth, Bleeding Through). This marks the band's first-ever recording sessions in America.

"We had a good time working in Denmark for three albums, but we had some exciting chemistry between us and Rob, a new producer with a fresh vision and a fresh environment," says ChthoniC vocalist Freddy Lim. "We like Rob's past work very much -- especially the depth and strength of all the different instruments -- and as a huge fan of Anthrax, it was our pleasure to work with him." - more on this story
