Jeremy London, one of the stars of "7th Heaven,"
has been charged with possession of marijuana, driving on a suspended license,
vandalism, and disobeying a court order. The four misdemeanor charges stem
from an incident on a California highway last month. London was arrested
on April 6th after motorist called police to report a man fighting with
his girlfriend on the Interstate 5 freeway in Santa Ana. Officers arrested
London after determining that he had been driving on a suspended license
and they found less than an ounce of marijuana in his possession.
He was also charged with vandalism for destroying his girlfriend’s phone
during the argument.
The Orange Country DA’s office has told
the press that London was released on bail and is due in court on May 6th
of arraignment. London’s license was previously suspended following a recent
arrest for driving under the influence.
London plays assistant pastor Chandler
Hampton on “7th Heaven”. His character in the family drama is reportedly
struggling with alcohol addiction on the show. Perhaps London is a method
actor.
Previous to his current role on “7th Heaven”,
London was part of the cast of the Fox drama “Party of Five”, and NBC’s
“I'll Fly Away” (he replaced his twin brother for this role). His film
roles include the lead in Kevin Smith’s “Mallrats” and “The Babysitter,”
where he played opposite Alicia Silverstone.
