Savage Garden Greatest Hits?

(antiMusic) Another good CD that you wanted to buy will be displaced on record store shelves soon by yet another useless greatest hits collection. andPOP reports that the defunct pop group Savage Garden are pulling a Hilary Duff and releasing a greatest hits complication culled from their vast song library of two albums.

Why would you want to buy this album if you already own the group's two previous CDs? Well, the marketing geniuses will include the standard $16.99 song for a greatest hits CD. That track, "So Beautiful" isn't actually a Savage Garden tune, it was recorded by the former lead singer Darren Hayes for his forthcoming solo album. If you can hold out a few months, you won't need to repurchase all the hits including "Truly Madly Deeply" and "Crash and Burn," as Hayes will include the bonus track on the aforementioned solo album when it hits stores early next year.
