Audioslave / Seether Tour
08/31/05
.
(Meyer PR) Continuing their streak of success, Wind-up recording artists Seether have achieved a new milestone -- an arena tour. The hard rockers have been tapped as the main support for the first official Audioslave U.S. tour kicking off on September 24th in Bakersfield, CA and running through November.

In its first week of release on May 24th, 2005, Karma and Effect sold 82,000 units, giving Seether the #8 album in the country and making it the band's highest ever debuting album. Karma and Effect has just been certified Gold by the RIAA and is the follow up to Disclaimer I and Disclaimer II, both of which were also certified Gold. The first single from the album, "Remedy" is top 5 at Modern Rock radio and has spent over 18 weeks as the #1 song at Active Rock.

Although "Remedy" shows no signs of slowing down at radio, in early September Seether will release "Truth," the second single and video from Karma and Effect. The band recently flew to Los Angeles to shoot a video for "Truth." Once again, Seether collaborated with director Dean Karr (Queens of the Stone Age, Marilyn Manson) who directed the video for "Remedy," and created another visually twisted take on their explosive song, "Truth."

The members of Seether are excited about the opportunity to tour with Audioslave, a band they hold in high esteem. Growing up in his native South Africa, Seether front man Shaun Morgan states, "The members of Audioslave are such a critical part of my history as a musician. They inspired me as a kid right down to the core of how I learned to play music. The fact that I'll get to spend every night watching these guys live is the most exciting part of our getting this tour."
