(PR) DC-based Hotspur, recent loser of the Warped Tour Battle of The Bands, won't take rejection sitting down. "We had a ton of plays in that contest, more than a lot of bands. We didn't win. So, we had to take matters into our own hands." Appearing at The Nissan Pavilion on August 10th, uninvited, with their merch mannequin, Jenna, the band wove through the crowd, selling CDs to concert-goers, and soliciting people waiting in signing lines at merch tables. After selling over 100 copies of their new album 'Beta' and slowing down the lines for other bands, Hotspur were eventually confronted by an irritated Armor For Sleep. After winning them over, and selling their album to the entire crew from The Academy Is, Hotspur continued their sales pitch to fans and artists alike, eventually selling out their CDs and tickets for their upcoming radio showcase on Thursday.[see full story for more] - Click here for the Full Story
