(antiMusic) Rapper Beanie Sigel was shot during an attempted robbery early Thursday on the street that inspired his stage name. Details are sketchy, the controversial rapper was reportedly treated for a gun shot wound at the University of Philadelphia hospital and released. E! online says that a police report states that Beanie "was getting in his car at the intersection of 22nd and Sigel streets when he was cornered by five men in two cars who tried to rob him at around 7 a.m.
