The lights will shine on eight promising bands from each city slated on the Shift _ 2 Nissan tour, so musicians looking for some national exposure, this could be your big break. All eight bands from each city may also have the opportunity to have their music heard on XM Satellite Radio.
Eligible bands must enter on-line at www.shift2nissan.com (click on Battle of the Bands submission button). Registration information needed from bands will include:
" Band's name / bio / hometown state
" Genre of music
" Band contact information (name, phone, e-mail)
" A video of their "best" song uploaded to www.youtube.com
Band submissions must be received by 12:01 a.m. 14 days before the scheduled Shift_2 Nissan event date. The eight semi-finalists from each city will be notified with details for their performance (date, time and location) via phone and/or e-mail the Tuesday before the tour arrives in each city. Through on-line and on-site ballot voting, the City's top eight bands will be narrowed down to two semi-finalists after their performances and announced on stage by the national headliners - one announced Friday with the other announced Saturday.
