(PR) Dinosaur Jr., with the original line-up of J Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murphy has long been celebrated as alternative rock's most significant pioneers. The trio recently announced plans to release their first ever DVD and their first studio recording since the indie classic Bug, recorded eighteen years ago. Both the DVD and the studio album are slated to hit streets in Spring 2007.But first, this fall Dinosaur Jr. will do a quick east coast jaunt into intimate venues in Portland (ME), Boston and Northampton (MA), and New York, before crossing the Pond for All Tomorrow's Parties' "Nightmare Before Christmas," the UK's Concorde 2, and other European dates. Titled Dinosaur Jr.: Live From the Middle East (Image Entertainment), this full length concert DVD was filmed largely at Boston's Middle East, as well as at New York's legendary Irving Plaza and other shows along the band's December 2005 reunion tour.
