From the first winsome notes of opener "The Many Things I Am Aware Of" to the manic closer "The Slow Fast," the record brims with intensity and highlights the band's impressive range. Songs fade into each other like scenes from a film as frontman Noah Lit muses on topics such as the apocalypse, politics, failed romance and natural disaster.
The debut release from Lasus' Fireproof Recordings, PAX FUTURA was recorded in his newly built recording studio. The production wizard behind Clap Your Hands Say Yeah's self-titled debut, he discovered Oliver Future through friend and KCRW DJ Tricia Halloran. Upon witnessing an exhilarating show, he quickly signed on to record the Los Angeles-via-Austin band's sophomore record. Over the course of several months, Oliver Future and Lasus labored intensely, creating a unique sonic wall of textures, tones and melodies.
