(antiMusic) Phil Spector's defense team tried to create reasonable doubt in the minds of the jury during the famed producer's murder trial as they delivered closing arguments on Thursday. The case now heads to the jury to see if the charges fit or acquit.

BBC reports: Prosecutors in the Phil Spector murder trial presented "speculation instead of certainty" as to who shot an actress dead at his home, defence lawyers said. In her closing statement, lawyer Linda Kenney-Baden said the prosecution put on a "stage-show" trial to cover up the "woeful" lack of scientific evidence.

She urged jurors to acquit her client, saying police wanted to convict the US music mogul because of his celebrity. Mr Spector denies killing Lana Clarkson in 2003, arguing that she shot herself. - read the full BBC report
