Sevendust Week: Day 1 "The Past" and "Scapegoat"

(antiMusic) We're gonna kick things up a notch this week with metal heavyweights Sevendust! The band's new album, "Chapter VII: Hope & Sorrow," comes out this week and we caught up with Morgan Rose to discuss his favorite tracks from the effort. Here is Morgan with today's songs: The Past: I wanted something dynamically mellow but heavy lyrically. The song is basically about the roller coaster that is life and how close I came to self destructing, but found a way out of the funk. it's actually an uplifting song. a rare one for us Scapegoat: A song warning someone not to follow in your footsteps. showing them that people will always look to put the blame on someone else if that someone is an easy target.
