MSG To Feature Dave Matthews Band, Motley Crue, Fall Out Boy and Kanye West and More Salty Favorites

07/01/2009
.
(10th St) MSG will add to its growing entertainment programming lineup with new episodes of franchise series "Road to MSG" and "MSG Concert Series" this summer.

"Road to MSG," which brings viewers along as their favorite artists, performers and athletes prepare to take the stage or hit the floor at Madison Square Garden, will premiere all new episodes featuring Mφtley Crόe, Earth, Wind & Fire, and Chicago.

New bands featured on "MSG Concert Series" will include Dave Matthews Band, Fall Out Boy and Kanye West. "Road to MSG" and "MSG Concert Series" will form a block of music programming on Tuesday nights during the summer on MSG, with episodes airing at 8:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. respectively.

"Playing Madison Square Garden is one of the highpoints in every artists career. It's such a legendary building and it has its own special energy - you know you've arrived when you play the Garden," said Mφtley Crόe's Nikki Sixx.

Part artist profile and part insider's guide to Madison Square Garden, each half-hour episode of "Road to MSG" takes viewers on the bus and behind the curtain, providing an intimate look at what it takes to be a superstar. New episodes feature a lineup of diverse artists, including Mφtley Crόe from their March 16, 2009 concert at Madison Square Garden, and Earth Wind & Fire and Chicago in two new episodes both from their concert at The Garden on June 17, 2009. The "Road to MSG" series launched in December 2008 with an episode going behind the scenes at the popular Z100's Jingle Ball concert.

The "MSG Concert Series" offers viewers an eclectic mix of crowd-pleasing concerts featuring acts that have survived the test of time. New episodes include Dave Matthews Band performing songs from their new album "Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King" from the Beacon Theatre on June 1, 2009; Fall Out Boy at the Chicago Theatre from December 16, 2008 performing songs from their album "Folie a Deux"; and Kanye West performing songs from his latest album "808's and Heartbreak" at the Chicago Theatre on June 11, 2009. These three concerts were acquired from national music network Fuse, which is also a part of MSG Media. They join the growing "MSG Concert Series" lineup, which also includes concerts from O.A.R, The Cure, Dashboard Confessional, and Meat Loaf, among others.

Below is a telecast schedule for new episodes of "Road to MSG" and "MSG Concert Series":
