Headlining the festival on Sunday are The Flaming Lips, with openers The Decemberists, Yo La Tengo, Grizzly Bear and more. MGMT recently collaborated with Wayne Coyne and co. for the next Flaming Lips release.
MGMT are Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser. MGMT perform live as a five-piece with James Richardson (guitar), Matt Asti (bass) and Will Berman (drums).
The duo released their debut album Oracular Spectacular in January of 2008 on Columbia Records. The duo went on to tour the world and garner critical raves for their innovative approach and style. The band recently played a sold out show in Brooklyn's Prospect Park to over 6,000 fans. MGMT have select tour dates in the continental US and Europe, as well as their first show in Hawaii.
