Leno struck out this year but Monty Python: Almost The Truth (The Lawyer's Cut) has been nominated for two Emmy Awards for the categories "Outstanding Directing For Nonfiction Programming" and "Outstanding Nonfiction Series."

The six-part docu-series, produced by Eagle Rock Film Productions, aired on IFC on October 18, and was released as a 3DVD and 2Bluray set via Eagle Rock Entertainment on October 27.

The only official, authorized program to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the iconic Monty Python's "Flying Circus," this series (directed by Bill Jones and Ben Timlett) explores the story behind the cultural phenomenon. Dictated straight from the source, it features brand new interviews with John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Gilliam, Terry Jones, and Michael Palin, in addition to archival interview footage from the late Graham Chapman.

Almost The Truth (The Lawyer's Cut) also features commentary from Dan Aykroyd, Tim Roth, Russell Brand, Bruce Dickinson, Eddie Izzard, Seth Green, Steve Coogan, Stephen Merchant and Simon Pegg. A wealth of video footage, including pre-Python footage, the "Flying Circus" classic television series, and the three Python films (Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Monty Python's Life Of Brian, and Monty Python's Meaning Of Life) completes the history of this anarchic, satirical sensation that changed the face of comedy forever.

The 62nd Emmy Award ceremony will be held August 29 in Los Angeles.
