Scott Hardkiss You & I Remix EP
. Featuring remixes by Bjrn Torske, Brennan Green, Christian Prommer, and Telepathe the You & I EP follows the format this eclectic series has become known for by also including dubs and instrumental versions as well as an acappella version of the original song to ensure you have everything you need to customize your very own gorgeous end-of-the-night anthem. Next up is a remix by the Norwegian space-dub-disco adventurer Bjrn Torske (known for his many collaborations with Ryksopp) who sets the controls for the heart of the sun to deliver a true psychedelic classic. Torske takes you on a 12-minute journey from the beaches of Jamaica to sunrise on the beaches of Ibiza via a mind-blowing excursion through the Milky Way. The journey continues with Chinatown Records boss Brennan Green's absolutely infectious nu-disco version, bringing the serious NY bounce and boogie with a classic housey piano lick riding a ridiculously funky bass groove by the legendary Ernie Brooks (Arthur Russell, New York Dolls, The Modern Lovers). Germany's jazz-tech master Christian Prommer (Drum Lesson, Trby Trio, Voom:Voom) picks up the pace with a driving, insistent, futuristic techno throb which pumps hard enough for any big room but retains the sweet melodies and beautiful flavor of the original. And bringing things to a close are the ladies of Brooklyn synth-pop duo Telepathe who took time away from recording the follow up to their much buzzed about debut album Dance Mother (produced by Dave Sitek of TV on the Radio) to transform "You & I" into a joyous and epic wall-of-synths; an indie-dance floor stormer that takes no prisoners and threatens to burst into flames at any moment.
