Tonic Return With New Album and Tour
. It's been almost eight years since the Grammy-nominated "Head on Straight" (they released a Greatest Hits collection early last year), and the band has returned reenergized with a collection of twelve new songs. Produced by Tonic and Nathaniel Kunkel, "Tonic" is redolent of their trademark honest, powerful, melodic rock sound. The first single, "Release Me," is currently being promoted at several radio formats and debuts at #40* on R&R's Hot AC chart this week! In addition, Tonic has confirmed a number of tour dates and will be performing throughout 2010 in support of "Tonic." Tonic has been on a whirlwind ride since their debut in 1998 when they earned the distinction of having released the #1 most-played rock song of the year. Since that auspicious debut, the band has sold millions, won numerous awards and Grammy nominations, tirelessly toured the world and developed a huge fan base, as well as taken time out for family life. Although each has also explored other creative outlets, there's a special collective energy that Hart, Russo and Lavery bring to Tonic. This band remains their main musical focus, and the effortless cohesion with which they play on these distinctive new songs truly reflects that.
