Singled Out: Samantha Marq's I Like To Party
. This was one of the last songs that my producer, KO, and I wrote for the album. At the time, I was in my last month of college, and my friends and I had this countdown till graduation going, so literally every night was a party. So when we sat down to write in the studio, I wanted to write a song that was about what was going on in my life at that moment. My friends and I had about a month left of school, so I wanted this song to be something like our life soundtrack for the rest of our time together. That was the intention at least. We didn't end up finishing recording the song until after graduation, but I'm glad that the song was inspired by such an important time in my life. I have never had more fun than those last 50 nights of college, and now I always have something to remind me of it!! Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album - right here!
