Dan Black Taking New York Prior to VMAs
. Prior to attending the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles on September 12 for which he is nominated for two awards, Dan Black will perform live on Good Day NY (Fox 5) on Tuesday, September 6, headline New York City's Bowery Ballroom on Thursday, September 9 and make a special guest appearances at Saks and Dior Homme stores for Fashion's Night Out in NY on Friday, September 10. Dan Black is nominated for two 2010 MTV Video Music Awards for the visually stunning "Symphonies" video which pays homage to the creativity of film credits and places Black in various vintage, Technicolored film clips to create a multisensory journey across several fantasy worlds characterized by classic imagery with a touch of modern flair. Produced by his visual collaborator Chic & Artistic, he joins Lady Gaga, Eminem, MUSE and Green Day in the "Best SFX (Special Effects)" category and Gorillaz ft Bobby Womack & Mos Def, Coldplay and The Black Keys for a "Breakthrough Video" nomination.
