More Drama Over Onslaught Split

(Rock News Desk) The reasons Steve Grice gave for leaving Onslaught are false, says guitarist Nige Rockett.

The drummer recently quit, saying he was upset the UK thrash outfit had replaced him for a tour without telling him, and that he saw patterns of behaviour emerging which had cause the band to collapse at the end of the 1980s.

But Rockett says Grice was given the option of playing the tour, but refused to change holiday plans and he can prove it. The guitarist tells Critical Mass: "I have emails I can show you where I asked him about the shows. I asked him twice, 'Are you willing to cancel your holiday to play them?' They were big shows playing to potentially 25,000 people, and very important for us. But he didn't want to cancel his holiday." more on this story
