Nirvana Star Plans Nevermind Concert

(Gibson) Former Nirvana bass player Krist Novoselic will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the band's landmark Nevermind album with a special concert. Novoselic and other Seattle musicians will join together to perform the 1991 album in full at September show, according to Rolling Stone.

The concert will benefit Seattle music industry person Susie Tennant, who has been diagnosed with cancer. It will take place September 20 at Sky Church at the Experience Music Project. Members of Fastbacks, Vaporland, the Long Winters, Visqueen, Campfire OK, Ravenna Woods and Valis will assist Novoselic.

Nirvana fans will be sad to learn that Dave Grohl won't be able to help out. Foo Fighters have a tour date scheduled in Cleveland on the same day. more on this story
